I have several signed books now. I've met a few authors and got books signed that way and others I've won in competitions. I don't buy signed books as I like the memories I gain by meeting authors etc... My signed books are all precious and like gold dust to me. One of my favourites is my signed copy of Harlan Coben's first YA novel Shelter. It was one of two books he signed that evening. It was not only my first Harlan Coben signing (I've now been to three) but it was my first ever book signing. Even better it was at Waterstones Birmingham! So here's the signed book... Here is Harlan signing maybe this book maybe the other haha that night...

Woah! I've never met any of my favourite authors before! I met Celia Rees two years ago when she did a day of creative writing at our school!

Waterstones Birmingham has some great author events. Hopefully you'll be able to meet some favourite authors there soon!

I have quite a few signed books now. I met Neil Gaiman twice and had a few different books signed, but my pride and joy is a copy of neverwhere my friend got signed for me as she interviewed him. At the time two of my pet rats had died so he dedicated it to them (draven and sholto). I also won a completion Tabitha Sazuma ran and got a signed copy of Forbidden, and I won a signed copy of Maggie Stiefvater's Ballad, it also has a little doodle in it too, love it sooo much! When Darren Shan first started his Zom-b series the publisher sent me a signed and dedicated copy of the first books it came with a quick note, but it was so scribbled I have never been able to figure out just who sent it! It's a mystery! I am very grateful though! I also have a signed copy of Gail Carriger's first novel that says Andi, drink tea! In it:) I have many other signed books but those are the ones that are in my head right now. The only way you can beat a good book is to have a signed good book! Andi Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
